Lilia P. Padilla, affectionately known as "Lily," passed away suddenly on March 11, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Born on March 22, 1939, in Cebu City, Philippines, Lily’s journey from her birthplace to the heart of Phoenix was marked by grace, dedication, and an unwavering spirit.
Lily was a licensed and retired hairstylist whose skilled hands brought beauty and confidence to many during her years at JC Penny's. But beyond her professional accomplishments, she was deeply cherished for her vibrant involvement in her community and church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and her active participation in her church gave her joy and purpose—a joy that will be dearly remembered by all who knew her.
She shared a loving marriage of 53 years with her devoted husband, Salomon Padilla, whom she married on August 30, 1972. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship, a true partnership that weathered the moments of life’s trials and triumphs. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect.
Lily was a proud and caring mother to Lissa Padilla Dorsey and her husband Donald, Susan Rosales and her husband Rudy, and Felipe Padilla. Her heart was fullest when she was surrounded by her cherished grandchildren—Rudy, Alex, Trinity, Matthew, Saiyuri, and Rhett—each carrying forward her legacy of kindness and strength.
Her Celebration of Life will take place at Encuentro Con Dios Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This gathering promises to be a meaningful tribute at the very place where she devoted so much of herself and where her spirit shone brightest.
Lily’s life was a beautiful blend of love, service, and faith. Though her departure was sudden, the memories she created and the love she shared will resonate deeply within the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will be treasured for generations.
In the quiet moments of farewell, those who loved her will find comfort in knowing that Lily’s spirit lives on—in the laughter of her grandchildren, in the steady love of her husband, and in the faithful community that uplifted her throughout her life. She was a remarkable woman whose impact reached far beyond the walls of any salon or church, touching every life she encountered with grace and kindness.
