It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marcella Margarita Espinoza, who left this world peacefully at her home in Surprise, Arizona, on January 31, 2026. Born on December 9, 1946, in Fox Creek, Colorado, Marcella was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose spirit will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Marcella spent her formative years in the quaint town of Antonito, Colorado, where she embraced life with unyielding passion and warmth. A proud graduate of Antonito High School, she carried the memories of her childhood and the vibrant spirit of her hometown into her adult life in Denver, Colorado, before eventually retiring in the comforting warmth of Surprise, Arizona.
Her hobbies reflected her generous heart and nurturing soul. A gifted cook and baker, Marcella had a special talent for bringing family together around the table, always ensuring that everyone felt welcome and adored. She relished in her garden, watching it bloom under her care, and found joy in the cheerful company of the birds that frequented her yard. Most significantly, her love for family was unwavering. She found immense happiness in the laughter and joys shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Marcella’s heart danced to the rhythms of Gospel music, and she cherished the classics from Elvis and oldies that filled her home with nostalgia and life. Her favorite color, yellow, truly encapsulated her sunny disposition and the warmth she offered to those around her.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Albert Espinosa, and her cherished children, Albert Jr., Karl (Debbie), Craig (Roberta), and Tanya (Mike). The legacy of love she crafted will continue to flourish through her beloved grandchildren, Steven, Monique, Jalynn, Jordyn, and Tyler, along with her great-grandchildren, Lexi, Layla, Jt, and Kyra.
Marcella is reunited in spirit with her parents, Leopoldo and Lucile Dupont, and her late son, Craig Espinoza, along with her sister, Judy Madrid, and brothers, Arthur, Ronnie Sr., and Paul Dupont. Their love and memories will forever be interwoven with the legacy she leaves behind.
As we remember Marcella, let us hold dear the lessons she imparted: to cherish the moments spent with loved ones, to find beauty in small things, and to greet each day with a heart full of gratitude and joy. She will be deeply missed but her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
