Nancy Diane Marlett

Nancy Diane Marlett (Garland), 74, born September 18, 1951, in Bangor, Maine, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Andrew Garland, and her mother, Patricia Marion Coleman. 

Nancy attended Bladensburg High School, Bladensburg, Maryland, before going on to nursing school, devoting more than five decades of her life to the nursing profession. She worked in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room, later serving in leadership roles as a nurse manager and director. In her later years, she continued her lifelong commitment to caring for others as a home health nurse in and around Jacksonville, Florida.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Robert H. Marlett; her children, Sandra (Rebecca) Ruffing and Gregory Marlett (fiancée Daisy Ochoa); her sister, Pamala Garland; as well as nieces, extended family, and friends. 

A private service will be held in 2026. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, Arizona. 

Nancy will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her patients, her leadership, and a lifetime spent caring for others. Her care was shown in constancy, her love in commitment, and her strength in a life spent in service to others.
