Quintin Tony Shadle, age 28, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Quintin was born on December 16, 1997, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Richard Shadle Sr. and Lorena Yanez. Raised in Phoenix, he built lifelong friendships and created countless memories while pursuing his passions for athletics, family, and helping others.
A proud graduate of Trevor G. Browne High School, Class of 2016, Quintin excelled as a student-athlete. During his wrestling career, he earned numerous accolades, including becoming a two-time High School All-American, a Freshman State Champion, a four- time State Qualifier, and achieving 3rd place in the state during his senior year. He also played football, where he distinguished himself as an All-State linebacker.
Following high school, Quintin pursued higher education at Phoenix College and Riverside City College, where he worked toward his associate degree while dreaming of one day becoming an anesthesiologist.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Quintin transitioned from wrestling to amateur mixed martial arts, competing in the featherweight division. He also competed in the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) where he placed runner up in 2022. He trained at multiple camps throughout Arizona and California and remained devoted to the sport he loved. His final fight took place in April 2024. Whether training, sparring, or mentoring fellow fighters, Quintins passion for MMA and the brotherhood it created remained a significant part of his life.
Beyond athletics, Quintin found joy in the simple moments. He loved his fathers famous BBQ, especially the special ribs, his mothers home-cooked meals, and even a carefully prepared meal prep when it was time to make weight. He enjoyed fishing trips with friends in Blythe, hiking, spending days at the beach, and making lasting memories with his MMA brothers.
Family was at the center of Quintins life. He looked forward to competitive blackjack games with his brothers and cousins and playing dominoes with his dad, often joking about how quickly everyone else counted. He loved to watch movies or shows with his mom. He was always willing to lend a hand and spent countless hours caring for and driving his nieces and nephews wherever they needed to go. His love, loyalty, and generosity never went unnoticed.
Those who knew Quintin will forever remember his contagious smile, larger-than-life personality, loud energy, and the unannounced visits that always brought laughter and excitement. He never needed an invitation because he knew he always had a place to call home.
Quintin is survived by his loving parents, Richard Shadle Sr. and Lorena Yanez; his stepfather, David Yanez; his siblings, Cecelia, David Jr., Gabriel (Rosemary), Daniel S. (Pete Jr.), Daniel Y. (Audrianna), Johnny, and Lanae (Jovany); his godson, Christopher
