Timotao Ernesto Lira, a man whose vibrant spirit and boundless energy touched all who knew him, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2026, following an extended illness. Born on January 23, 1963, in Phoenix, Arizona, Timotao lived a life marked by an indefatigable zest for activity and deep devotion to family, leaving behind a legacy shimmering with love, music, and the cherished warmth of shared meals.
Attending Neff and Monte Vista high schools in California, Timotao's formative years were steeped in the rhythm of the 80s—a soundtrack that remained close to his heart throughout his life. An avid fan of Oingo Boingo, he infused his days with music and song, a passion that blossomed into a beautiful inheritance for his daughter and granddaughters, who carry forward his love of singing with grace and joy.
Timotao's favorite shade of green was a quiet emblem of his vibrant personality—ever lively, ever spirited. He was a man who found true happiness in movement and the outdoors. Whether shooting hoops on a basketball court, gliding through waters in a kayak, or patiently casting a fishing line, he delighted in teaching his children and grandchildren the joys of these pursuits. Each moment spent with him was a lesson not only in sport but in the art of living fully and embracing every breath with vigor.
Cooking was another language of love Timotao spoke fluently. As a dedicated dad, he crafted his signature dishes with affection and generosity, treating family and friends to meals infused with his own unique touch. These culinary masterpieces were more than just food—they were a testament to his desire to nourish both body and soul.
Timotao is survived by his beloved children Desiree, Zachary, Timothy, Nicolas, and Courtney, as well as his treasured grandchildren Lillian, Victoria, Cameron, Maverick, Brody, and Ava. The household was complete with the joyful presence of his four-legged companion, Big Bad Brutus, a steadfast witness to his final days. Alongside them stand his brothers and sisters—Elizabeth, Anthony, Tina, and Matthew—his nieces Amy, Christina, and Erika, and nephews Anthony, Ben, Bryan, Cameron, Eric, and Michael, all of whom carry the imprint of his love and laughter in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, sister Anna, and his son Baby Tim, whose memories are tenderly held. The contours of Timotao’s life are etched deeply in those who loved him, a vivid mosaic of strength, melody, devotion, and joy.
In his passing, the world has lost a beacon of vitality and a keeper of timeless family traditions. His story lingers in the songs sung, the games played, the meals shared, and in the green shades of every new leaf—reminders that Timotao Ernesto Lira lived passionately, loved abundantly, and left an indelible mark that will forever echo through the lives he touched.
